How did Saif come out of hospital so soon? Bangalore doctor explains

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan returned to his Bandra residence on Tuesday, five days after being discharged from Lilavati Hospital. Khan had been treated for six stab wounds, including one near his spine, sustained during a home invasion earlier this month. His treatment included surgery to repair cerebrospinal fluid leakage and plastic surgery for injuries to his arm and neck.

While Saif’s quick recovery has drawn public interest, it has also sparked skepticism. Maharashtra Ports Minister Nitesh Rane questioned the legitimacy of the actor’s injuries, suggesting Saif “danced” his way out of the hospital. Similarly, Sanjay Nirupam commented that Saif’s recovery seemed implausible given the severity of the attack.

To address the doubts, Bengaluru-based cardiologist Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy shared his expertise on social media. Using a video of his 78-year-old mother walking hours after spine surgery, Dr. Krishnamurthy emphasized that younger, healthier individuals recover faster. He clarified that Saif’s condition involved a tear and fluid leak, which is less severe than his mother’s fractured spine. He urged skeptics, including medical professionals, to seek proper knowledge before making baseless claims.

The attacker, identified as Sariful Islam, an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, was arrested after a three-day police operation. Islam allegedly broke into Saif’s home intending to steal but engaged in a violent altercation.
