IT park in Belagavi: Singh positively nods for land transfer

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday May 11 said that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has positively responded with regard to the transfer of 700 acres of land in Belagavi. The State Government has sought the land to develop an IT park in Belagavi.

Chief Minister raised the issue with the Minister during his meeting with him in New Delhi. There is a 700-acre of land in Belagavi belonging to the State Government under the Defence Ministry currently, which I have appealed to be transferred to the State. Rajnath Singh has nodded in positive for the request, he informed.

Bommai said that the State needs this land for the IT park, and therefore the Union minister has responded that he would discuss the issue with officials concerned and decide.
