Bengaluru: Political melodrama continued in the state capital with the rebel Congress leaders doing as they wish. Even though former CM Siddaramaiah had expressed his confidence on Monday that he will solve the rebel issues brewing within the party by Tuesday, the rebel leaders refused to pay heed to the leaders.

Despite Siddaramaiah calling over sacked minister Ramesh Jarakiholi to meet him over and discuss the issues, the latter left for Belagavi by train.

Another sulking leader, former minister Ramalinga Reddy met Siddaramaiah at his residence in the noon. But this meeting was followed by his meeting with BJP leaders led by Yalhanka MLA Vishwanath, further raising speculations and also embarrassing the Congress.

Jarakiholi had said that he would announce his decision with regard to breaking ties with the Congress in four days. His near and dear ones had suggested him to hold a talk with Siddaramaiah before making a decision and Siddaramaiah too expressed his desire to talk to the rebels-Jarakiholi and Reddy. However, Jarakiholi skipped the meeting and Reddy fueled speculations by meeting the BJP leaders.

Jarakiholi has openly said that he would not meet any Congress leader, instead directly take a decision about his future in consultation with his supporters.
