Bengaluru: Respectful tributes were paid to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries on Sunday October 2.
Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai offered floral tributes to Gandhiji on his 153rd birth anniversary.
While Gehlot offered his respect to Bapu at Rajbhavan in the presence of the staff, CM paid his tributes at Gandhiji’s statue in between Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha. He also offered tribute to For er Prime Minister late Lal Bahadur Shastri at Vidhana Soudha. Mahatma Gandhi Seva Prashasti-Karnataka for the year 2022 was also give away.
BJP and Congress in the State organised various events to mark the anniversaries across the State.
