Karnataka: KERC to hike tariffs from October 1

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has increased the tariffs from October 1 to make adjustments to the power tariff as part of Fuel Adjustment Charges (FAC).

According to the orders, customers of Mangaluru Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (MESCOM) will pay 24 paise more per unit than customers of Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), which covers Bengaluru City.

Customers of Hubballi Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (HESCOM), Gulbarga Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (GESCOM), and Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESCOM) would each pay 35 paise more for each unit of electricity.
