Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s challenges are far from being over. After overcoming several hurdles in the past, the CM is now facing a new challenge.
As per sources, during the BJP’s legislators’ meet held on Thursday, several MLAs have openly asked the CM to allocate funds for development of their constituency or face music.
It is said that when the CM asked the legislators to speak about their problems, Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil thundered that no developmental works are happening in the constituency and the officials are hardly listening to them.
“Even we have to take agents along with us to get work done,” Patil said.
However, the CM who was listening to all the complaints with patience, suddenly lost his calm at Balagalot MLA Siddu Savadi. When Siddu Savadi said that his constituency is suffering, the CM questioned him if the government has not released funds to his constituency.
“The funds were released, works were done, still you keep having complaints,” the CM told Siddu Savadi.
The CM said that releasing funds is becoming difficult, as he had earlier told during the session because the state exchequer has dried up.
He also blamed the earlier government and its policiy for the problems existing now.
A total of 70 MLAs are believed to have spoken during the meeting. However, when Goolihatti Shekar threatened to resign if the works do not take off, the CM seemed worried, reports New18.
The CM promised that he will constantly be in touch with all the MLAs and make all possible attempts to solve the problems of the legislators.
