Bengaluru: Bhavani Revanna, mother of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with an abduction case on Friday. This appearance followed a directive from the Karnataka High Court, which had earlier in the day granted her interim anticipatory bail.
Bhavani Revanna faces allegations of kidnapping a woman, purportedly to aid her son, who is accused of sexually abusing multiple women and is currently in SIT custody.
Justice Krishna S Dixit granted her interim anticipatory bail on the condition that she appear before the SIT investigating officer by 1 pm on Friday and fully cooperate with the investigation. Additionally, the High Court has restricted her from entering KR Nagar taluk in Mysuru district and the entire Hassan district, where the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault incidents involving her son took place.
In a related development, SIT sources reported the detention of Bhavani Revanna’s car driver in connection with the abduction case.
