King Charles III and Queen Camilla have been discreetly staying in Bengaluru since October 27, engaging in wellness treatments at Soukya International Holistic Health Centre (SIHC) in Whitefield, according to The Indian Express. Following their participation in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa from October 21 to 26, the royal couple’s visit to the city was kept under wraps, with no formal welcome from the state government at HAL airport and no traffic restrictions in place during their arrival.
During their stay, the couple has been enjoying early morning yoga sessions, rejuvenation treatments, and therapeutic sessions, complemented by meditation practices provided by a specialized staff at SIHC. They are also reportedly relishing the nutritious cuisine offered on-site and taking long walks during their free time. Their visit marks King Charles III’s first as monarch to Bengaluru, although he had visited the city multiple times as the Prince of Wales.
The SIHC, founded by Dr. Issac Mathai and Dr. Suja Issac, offers a blend of wellness treatments, including Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Acupressure, Yoga, and Homeopathy. Notably, Charles has visited this center nine times before and has a dedicated team for his treatments during each visit. The couple is expected to depart Bengaluru today, wrapping up their wellness retreat.
