Kolar: The parents of a bride who collapsed in her marriage reception following brain haemorrhage donated her organs. This incident was reported from Srinivasapura in the Kolar District on the night of Friday February 11.
According to the authorities, it was the first organ retrieval at NIMHANS, a renowned hospital of the City.
Chaitra, 26, was the bride. On Friday evening she collapsed at her marriage reception. She was rushed to NIMHANS for treatment. However, as she breathed her last, her parents decided to donate her organs.
This incident has been tweeted by Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar. He condoled the death of the woman.

“This is a noble gesture and it should be a role model to everyone. This gesture will save many lives,” he tweeted.
