Kolar: Villagers write letter to Guv demanding to conserve lake

Kolar: The Lake Conservation Committee and the villagers have written a letter to the Governor demanding the conservation of 2 .11 acres of land in Survey No. 76 of Kempapura Village in the Taluk.

The Excise Department has decided to give permission to set up a liquor shop in the backwaters of the lake in Survey Number 76 by showing survey 76 as lake yard and survey 74/4 as holding land.

The Department had offered permission to shift Deepika Wines. The wines was in Kasamballi, and now has been permitted to be shifted to Kempapura Lake yard. Therefore, the villagers have lodged a complaint with the KGF Tahasildar 10 days ago to save the lake.
