Bengaluru: Union minister and Bangalore North MP D V Sadananda Gowda on Sunday alleged that Congress MLA from KR Puram Byrathi Basavaraj was the kingpin for the land mafia in the city and alleged that 81 murders related to land issues were committed in KR Puram in the past three years.
Addressing BJP’s Parivrtana rally at Sir M Visvesvaraya playground, Murugeshpalya on Old Airport Road here on Sunday, Gowda said BJP leader and former MLA Nandeesh Reddy has been fighting against land mafia in KR Puram Assembly segment. “KR Puram Assembly constituency comes under Bengaluru North parliament segment. Congress MLA insists to put up his name board at the bus shelter constructed by MP Local Area Development Fund,’’ Gowda said.
