Bengaluru: In view of the Dasara festival, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has made elaborate arrangements for operating more than 1,500 extra buses to various places from Bengaluru to provide transport facility to the traveling public from October 7 to 10. These special buses will be exclusively operated from Kempegowda Bus Station, Mysuru Road Bus Station and Shanthinagara BMTC TTMC. Special buses will be operated from various Intra and Interstate places to Bengaluru from October 12 to 16.
Special buses will also be operated to Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Sringeri, Horanadu, Shivamogga, Mercara, Mangaluru, Davangere, Gokarna, Kollur, Hubballi, Dharwar, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Karwar, Ballari, Hosapete, Kalaburagi, Raichur and other places in the State and also to Hyderabad, Chennai, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Salem, Tiruchinapalli, Pudukote, Madurai, Tiruchi, Panjim, Shirdi, Mumbai, Ernakulam, Palghat, Thiruvananthapuram and other places in the neighbouring states.
325 special buses for Mysuru Dasara
Around 150 special buses would be operated exclusively from Mysuru Road Bus Station, Bengaluru to Mysuru. The KSRTC planned to operate 175 special buses exclusively in Mysuru to cater to the needs of the tourists visiting the surrounding tourist/pilgrim centers of Mysuru like Chamundi Hills, KRS Dam/Brindavan Gardens, Srirangapatna, Nanjanagudand also to places like Mercara, Mandya, Malavalli, H.D.Kote, Chamarajanagar, Hunsur, K.R.Nagar, Gundlupet etc (totally 325 special buses).
