K’taka crosses 10K mark with 397 new cases; state sees 14 new COVID fatalities

Bengaluru: Karnataka crossed the !0K positive COVID cases mark on Wednesday with 397 new cases. With this, the state’s tally stands at 10,118.

The state also witnessed 14 COVID fatalities on Wednesday, taking the total deaths to 164. The deaths have been reported from Bengaluru Urban (5), Ballari (4), Kalaburgi (2), Tumakuru (1), Ramanagar (2).

The disrtict-wise break-up of new positive cases is: Bengaluru Urban (173), Ballari (34), Kalaburgi and Ramanagar(22 each), Udupi (14), Yadagiri (13), Dakshina Kannada and Dharwad (12 each), Koppala (11), Raichuru and Uttara Kannada (9 each), Davangere and Chikkaballapura (8 each), Mysuru and Bengaluru Urural (7 each), Gadag and Kolar (6 each), Bidar (5), Vijayapura (4), Shivamogga (3), Mandya, Chitradurga, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu (2 each)Belagavai, Hassan, Tumakuru and Chikkamagaluru (1 each).

A total of 149 persons were discharged in the state, taking the total discharges to 6,151.
