Bengaluru: The State Government has decided to impose a night curfew starting Tuesday December 28 from 10.00 pm to 5.00 am. The curfew will be in place for ten days in the State.
A decision in this regard has been made in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday December 26. Ministers and technical experts attended the high-level meeting to evaluate the Covid situation and decide on containment initiatives to tackle the State’s rising Omicron infection cases.
The Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar has informed after the meeting that the government has agreed to impose the night curfew.
The night curfew is likely to restrict New Year’s celebrations, which were previously dampened by the State Government.
