Bengaluru: Karnataka logged 1,579 new Covid cases and 23 deaths against 5,079 discharges on Thursday February 17.
The number of active cases in the state stood at 19,761. The positivity rate for the day stood at 1.74 per cent while the state reported a case fatality rate of 1.45 per cent.
Karnataka had logged 1,849 new Covid cases and 24 deaths against 5,418 discharges on Wednesday.
The number of new Covid cases in Bengaluru Urban came down to 769 on Thursday against 1,889 discharges, while seven persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. The city presently has 8,828 active cases.
A total of 90,688 Covid tests were conducted in the last 24 years. The state’s recovery rate presently stands at 98.48 per cent.
