Bengaluru: Karnataka’s health department reported 470 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths on Friday October 15, bringing the total number of cases and deaths to 29,82,869 and 37,931, respectively.
368 patients were discharged on the same day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 29,35,238.
A department bulletin stated that there were 9,671 active cases. Bengaluru Urban had the highest new cases with 232 and one death.
In Karnataka, all other districts reported cases below 100, including 59 in Mysuru, 36 in Dakshina Kannada, 22 in Kodagu, 16 in Hassan, Mandya, and Tumakuru, 14 in Udupi, and 11 in Uttara Kannada.
According to the bulletin, Mysuru and Ramanagara each had two deaths, while Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Dakshina Kannada, Davangere, and Udupi each had one.
Zero cases and Covid-19-related deaths were reported in Ballari, Chikkaballapura, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, and Yadgir.
According to the bulletin, 24 districts reported no fatalities.
On Friday, the State tested a total of 93,806 samples, bringing the total number of specimens examined to 4.93 crore.
