Bengaluru: As many as 100 employees of State Transport undertakings who participated in the 15-day-strike in April 2021 have been reinstated, said Minister of Transport B. Sriramulu on Thursday February 10.
Minister said, “Over 1,353 employees were sacked during the strike, of whom 100 have got back to their jobs. The remaining will also be taken back, except for those who indulged in violence and have FIRs registered against them.” He urged that the employees of Transport Department should not take to strike and lose their jobs. “Though there is no provision to take dismissed employees back to the job, however on humanitarian grounds we are reinstating them.”
He informed that by this month-end 700 employees will be reinstated and others in coming days. And also we have assured the employees that the salary will be paid every month on time, he added.
