Bengaluru: The cyber crime police are on the lookout for the son of a landlord whom they suspect of installing cameras in the bedroom of their tenants — a couple — and uploading the footage on a pornographic website.
According to the police, the wife works as an assistant professor with a private institute and the husband is employed with a private firm. They live in a rented accommodation at Sri Rama Layout, near K.R. Puram.
Based on a complaint filed by the woman, the police have taken up a case. According to the complainant, her husband received a VoIP call from an unknown person who informed them about the footage. The couple approached the police on September 29.
“They tried to find out who had installed the cameras. They learned that the landlord’s son had a spare key,” said the police, who suspect that the cameras were removed soon after the footage was recorded. The cyber crime police were able to erase the footage.
