Bengaluru: With the idea of ensuring that the farm loan waiver scheme does not meet any technical challenges, the state government has decided to extend the scheme across the state after implementing it on a pilot basis in two taluks.
According to the sources in the state finance department, Doddaballapur in Bengaluru Rural and Sedam taluk of the Kalaburugi district have been selected for the pilot project.
“A team of officers led by Munish Moudgil has developed a software to implement the loan waiver scheme. This software will ensure total transparency in the scheme implementation. The process will be taken after November 12. The Chief Minister will inaugurate the scheme on November 12,” said sources.
Interestingly, Aadhar has been made compulsory to get the benefit of the scheme.
