Bengaluru: Another chargesheet in connection with the Lokayukta bribery case has been filed by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) on Thursday, after a complaint was filed by an engineer of the Public Works Department.
Public works department chief engineer D Udayshanker, one of the 33 accused, allegedly involved in an Rs 600 crore scam during 2011-13 in Magadi division, Ramanagaram district is the complainant.
According to sources, this is the fourth chargesheet filed in the high profile case, in which Ashwin Y, son of Lokayukta Justice Y Bhaskar Rao, tout V Bhaskar, Narasimhamurthy, an FDA attached to police headquarters and another tout and realtor Hotte Krishna are the main accused.
The SIT chargesheet which contains 1537 pages and more than 60 witness accounts has invoked sections 384, 506, 419, 201 and 120-B of IPC and sections 8 and 9 of Prevention of Corruption Act.
