In anticipation of their IPL 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) shared a heartwarming video featuring their trio of cricketers, all hailing from the capital city of Karnataka.

LSG captain KL Rahul, along with teammates Devdutt Padikkal and Krishnappa Gowtham, expressed their affection for returning to Bengaluru for the match. Titled “Coming to Bengaluru with a lot of love,” the video captures the three cricketers reminiscing about their cricketing journeys.

When asked what Bengaluru means to them, all three players fondly referred to it as “home.” Rahul shared nostalgic memories of starting his cricketing journey in the city, emphasizing the significance of the ground to him. Gowtham discussed his remarkable record at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, while Padikkal expressed his sentiment of always returning home regardless of where he plays.

However, LSG faces uncertainty over the fitness of regular captain KL Rahul, who suffered a quadriceps injury earlier this year. In the absence of Rahul, Karnataka player Nicolas Pooran took on the captaincy for the previous match. With one win and one defeat so far, LSG currently occupies the sixth spot in the points table. On the other hand, RCB, having lost two matches and won only one, sits at the ninth spot.
