Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar on Friday February 4 has said that a separate manifesto for Coastal Karnataka and Malnad will be prepared, focusing on creating employment for local people to prevent migration to neighbouring states.
Speaking to party workers in the Uttara Kannada District, Shivakumar said, “We have asked some people to start working on it. The focus will be on providing job opportunities for our youth. We have all we need in the State, so people don’t have to migrate to other states to get work.”
The Kanakapura MLA revealed that many people from Karnataka who have migrated to Goa informed him that if given the opportunity, they would choose to stay and work in Karnataka.
