MBBS students killed in road mishap in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Two MBBS students were killed after their car hit a truck near Budihal on Tumakuru Road, 30 km north of Bengaluru, in the early hours of Sunday.

Four killed in separate road accidents-1The police have identified the victims as Mohammad Atif, 25, and Leena Maria, 26, from Kerala.

The police said the victims were the students of Siddhartha Medical College, Tumakuru. It was said that the victims were returning to their hostel from Bengaluru when the accident took place. It was said that Atif, who was at the wheel, lost control of the Maruti Swift, jumped the median, entered the other lane and collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction. The police have registered a case.
