Bengaluru: During a routine check by the prison staff, a mobile phone was found in the corridor of the high-security block of the Parappana Agrahara central prison on Saturday night, February 6.
It has been reported that the abandoned phone was found near the barrack of terror suspect Mohammed Fahad alias Koya. But official sources have not confirmed this.
An official said, “There was no SIM card in the phone and we do not know who was using it. A complaint was lodged with the Parappana Agrahara police.”
Fahad, a Pakistan national, is a suspected member of Al-badr terror outfit and was arrested in Mysuru in 2006.
