Bengaluru: It is learnt that the boiled eggs in mid meal may be extended to other districts in the State. Discussions are going on to extend the benefit for the next academic year with fund paucity being the only factor. If extended, the State Government would have to bear the entire cost of the programme.
It can be recalled here that according to earlier Government order stated that the scheme would be in force till March 30, 2022. However, now there is a plan to extend the same, the sources said.
The study report by Karnataka Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University on health benefits among kids after consumption of boiled eggs is being awaited.
