‘Mrs India-Karnataka’ auditions to begin from Feb 3 at Chancery Pavilion

Bengaluru: Good news for all those married women who still dream of participating in a beauty pageant. “Mrs India-Karnataka”, the highly acclaimed beauty pageant is back and the auditions for the 2018 crown will start from February 3, at Chancery Pavilion, Bengaluru.

This is the country’s largest platform for married women to showcase their beauty, talent, glamour and culture. Mrs India is not looking for models but, is an inspirational event to create role models. So, for all those aspirants, the message is loud and clear- don’t hesitate, just try to be Mrs India 2018.

Age is just a number, as even you can be the Queen at Mrs India-Karnataka. Any married woman can participate by either registering on the website www.mrsindiakarnataka.com or walking in to Chancery Pavilion on February 3. Contestants can participate in the respective categories- 22-40, 41-60 and 60 & above. The state grand finals will be held at the Royal Orchid Resort and Convention Centre, Yelahanka from February 22 – 24 and the finale will be on February 24.

Interesting contests

As part of the programme, the contestants will be walking on the ramp, introducing themselves and answering the judges’ questions. They shall be judged based on their walk, body language, presentation and confidence. Once selected, they will participate in the Karnataka finale and then head to Mrs India and then to Mrs Asia, Mrs World and Mrs Planet.

Prestigious platform

Announcing this at a press conference here on January 10, Mrs India-Karnataka organiser Pratibha Saunshimath (Mrs Asia International & Mrs India 2015; Organiser & Director Mrs India-Karnataka & Regional Director Mrs India) said the event “Mrs India-Karnataka” was the only beauty pageant that celebrated beauty in diversity. “Every woman is beautiful and every woman should feel beautiful about herself irrespective of her height, weight, age or colour. Our pageant aims at bringing out the talented and beautiful women of Karnataka, to the forefront”, said Pratibha, who was the first married Kannadiga woman to hold an international beauty title. She said that she was organising the event to bring more women from various backgrounds, to the limelight. Mrs India-Karnataka aims at reaching every nook and corner of the state and bring out the talents of the married women and give them a prestigious platform, to showcase themselves to the rest of the world.

Honouring women achievers

After two super successful years, the Mrs India-Karnataka team continues to honour women achievers; this year, Mrs India-Karnataka will be having district wise crowns. This is to honour the contestants coming from the various districts of Karnataka. The contestants not only stand a chance to win the coveted title of “Mrs India-Karnataka 2018” but also other titles like Mrs Healthy, Best Eyes, Best Smile, Best Skin, Mrs Personality, Mrs Glamour, Best Hair, Mrs Intellectual, Mrs Photogenic, Mrs Diva, Best Walk, Mrs Inner Beauty and many more.

Excellent multi-taskers

Pratibha said that the pageant organisers were working towards changing the lives of women by instilling confidence in them by giving them the strength to prove to themselves that they are excellent multi-taskers. In this venture, Mrs India-Karnataka is planning a few initiatives to honour the women achievers of Karnataka from various fields; some might be already well-known and some others are totally unknown. “I started this initiative in Karnataka after winning the Mrs Asia title to help women rise up. We want these women to be an inspiration to others; we want to acknowledge their hard work and get them noticed and recognized”, she said.

Pratibha Saunshimath (Mrs Asia International & Mrs India 2015; Organiser & Director Mrs India-Karnataka & Regional Director Mrs India), Aruna Singh (Classic Mrs India runner-up), Tripti Arvind (Mrs India 2017), Rajashree Vishanth (Mrs India runner up 2016), Asha Jois (Mrs India 2016), Anu Ravi (Mrs India finalist 2016), Swetha Alta (Mrs India glamorous 2016), Niti Arora (Mrs India-Karnataka 2016 first runner up), Sohani (Mrs India-Karnataka 2016 second runner up), Nitish Saunshimath (executive director, Mrs India-Karnataka) and Siddiq (Production team) were present at the press conference held at the Press Club.
