Bengaluru: Congress misunderstood the statement of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K. S. Eshwarappa in National flag, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
CM Bommai said, Opposition Party trying to create a wrong perception in the minds of the people about Minister’s statement, and projecting an anti-people attitude over the issue. Day and night dharnas have been held many times in the past too in the Assembly but they were usually for a public cause, for the interests of farmers and the State. There is nothing wrong in Eshwarappa’s statement, he added.
Bommai observed that Congress is forgetting its social responsibility. It is trying to avoid the House from holding its session, the act which cannot be defended. People will not approve it,” he added.
