To tackle traffic congestion near Sadahalli Junction, located just 7 km from Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced plans for a new flyover. This initiative aims to improve connectivity to the airport, especially for vehicles traveling via the Hebbal route, which sees 80% of airport-bound traffic. Despite the 13-km flyover from Hebbal to Yelahanka already in place, traffic at Sadahalli Junction still causes delays due to signals and toll collection.
The new flyover will ensure smoother, uninterrupted movement for over 2 lakh vehicles that travel the 28 km stretch daily. With this addition, commuters will experience reduced congestion, enhancing their journey to one of the country’s busiest airports. The tendering process for the flyover will commence soon, promising relief to thousands of daily travelers.
