Bengaluru: The opposition is trying to mislead the probe into the police sub-inspector recruitment scandal, since their involvement is coming to the fore, said Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Friday May 6.
He was responding to a question on Congress leader Siddaramaiah’s claim that the size of scandal was around Rs. 300 Crore during a press conference on Thursday.
Speaking to mediapersons, Araga Jnanendra said, “Siddaramaiah, now has the right to free expression. He might declare Rs. 200 Crore, Rs 300 Crore, or even Rs. 3,000 Crore, but when we ask for proof, he runs away. Even after being served with a notice to appear before the CID, Priyank Kharge (Congress MLA) has not appeared yet.”
