Rapido has introduced electric buggy services at KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station to improve passenger convenience and accessibility within the busy railway station premises.
The newly launched “buggy-to-boarding” service aims to help travellers move quickly between entry points, waiting areas and platforms, especially senior citizens, persons with disabilities, families with luggage and passengers rushing to board trains.
Officials said the electric buggies will provide eco-friendly and hassle-free transportation across the station campus, reducing walking distances inside one of Karnataka’s busiest railway hubs.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to modernise passenger facilities and improve last-mile mobility solutions at major railway stations. Railway authorities stated that the service is expected to enhance comfort for daily commuters and long-distance travellers alike.
Passengers can reportedly access the buggy rides at designated pick-up points within the station premises. The service has already drawn positive responses from commuters who often struggle with heavy luggage and crowded platforms.
