Bengaluru: The police has invoked Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 against 10 accused in connection with the murder of Hindu Harsha that occurred on February 20 in Shivamogga.
Pressing charges have been made under sections of the UAPA against the ten accused. This is being seen as a beginning to handing over the case to National Investigation Agency.
While leaders within the BJP sought NIA investigation into the murder, the Congress had demanded the resignation of Home Minister Araga Jnanendra and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K. S. Eshwarappa, who hail from Shivamogga, over the incident.
