Bengaluru: The Bengaluru city police have rubbished the claim of assault by the techie woman on her by “men involved in illegal slaughter at Avalahalli” few days ago and termed it as “fake.”

Clarifying on the incident, police said Nandini’s car had crashed into an auto rickshaw which actually fuelled the commotion.

Enraged by the accident, the people started pelting stones at her car stated police and termed her claim of men shouting pro-Pakistan slogans on that day as baseless.

The media had earlier reported that the mob allegedly attacked two women animal rights activists including techie Nandini along with two constables accompanying them when they tried to rescue cattle from an illegal slaughterhouse at Avalahalli near Thalaghattapura on October 14 evening.

In the melee, Nandini (45), a software engineer from Koramangala, fractured her hand and sustained head injuries and her car was also damaged in the attack, media reports then stated.
