Police tighten security in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Police Commissioner N S Megharik has said precautions were taken to prevent any untoward incidents in Tamil-speaking areas such as Srirampura, Deepanjali Nagar, Pulakeshi Nagar, Shivajinagar, Banaswadi, Okalipuram, Satellite Bus Stand and other areas.

The police have beefed up security at Karnataka Tamil Nadu border districts such as Mysuru and Chamarajanagar. Hundreds of police were deployed on Attibele and Anekal roads that connect Tamil Nadu to ensure law and order in view of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s demise.
