Three policemen from the Hebbagodi police station have been suspended following a raid on a rave party where drugs were found in use by 86 individuals, including a Telugu actor. The raid, conducted by the anti-narcotic wing of the CCB at a farmhouse within Hebbagodi police jurisdiction, led to the suspension of the officers for their failure to halt the illicit gathering.
Bengaluru Rural SP Mallikarjun Baladandi took action against the policemen and issued a charge memo to the local DySP and the Hebbagodi police station inspector for their lack of prior information about the party. Failure to provide a satisfactory explanation may result in further disciplinary measures against them.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Narayana Swamy, along with two other policemen, Girish and Devaraju, have been suspended in connection with the incident. The raid resulted in the arrest of 86 individuals, including 59 men, and the seizure of MDMA crystals, cocaine, and hydro ganja.
