Bengaluru: Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar said that the focus should be now to create screening and diagnosis systems in place to predict and thus prevent diseases at an early stage.
The Minister was speaking on Thursday April 7 marking the occasion of World Health Day. He said that mostly people come to doctors only after they experience symptoms. Therefore, there is a need to increase awareness about non-communicable and lifestyle diseases. With the aid of technology, it is possible to develop screenings and diagnosing systems which will help predict diseases at the early stage and thus prevent the same,” he added.
Sudhakar also called on doctors to acquire administrative capabilities so that there could be better delivery of healthcare services and hospitals are better managed. Our Government will focus on training doctors in administrative skills unlike previous governments, he stressed.
