Bengaluru: Adamya Chetana’s Seva Utsava 2018 will be inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind in Bengaluru on December 30, along with Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The four-day Seva Utsava will commence on 30th December 2017 and will go on until 2nd January 2018 at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi.

Elaborating on this year’s theme of ‘Prakriti – Sanskriti’, Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Adamya Chetana Dr. Tejaswini AnanthKumar said “Since Vedic times, lifestyle of Indians has centred on Mother Nature. Our ancestors have worshipped every aspect of Nature. Eco-Sensitivity is no longer ingrained in our day-to-day life. That is why we have to ‘teach’ science. Rekindling this eco-Sensitivity is our main theme of this year’s Seva Utsava. The Prakriti – Sanskriti stalls will emphasise on this fact – how to imbibe Green lifestyle as our routine, how we have managed to remain a zero-garbage kitchen consistently, and other unique yet essential concepts like how Butterflies help preserve Nature, and why we should preserve them, and many more.”

The President will also be inaugurating the Centenary Celebration of The National Education Society at the same venue. Addressing the media persons, President of The National Education Society, Dr. A H Ramrao said, “The National High School is celebrating its 100 years of fruitful existence. The institution is proud of Late Dr. H. Narasimhaiah, legendary Anil Kumble and Matinee Idol late Vishnuvardhan, Dr. A.S. Kiran Kumar, Chairman, ISRO and scores of other eminent persons who were alumni of the National High School. We are grateful to Mrs. & Mr. AnanthKumar, our Honourable Union Minister, for their continued patronage and helping us to get the consent of the Honourable President of India to Inaugurate the Centenary Celebrations of the National High School on 30th December, 2017”.

Highlighting the key attraction of this year, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Seva Utsava 2018 D R Subramanyam said, “The prime exhibition of this year Seva Utsava will be the Aerospace and Defence exhibition, set up by eminent Defence and Aerospace organizations of the country like IAF, ISRO, ADA, HAL, and many more. Varunastra – Torpedo (underwater missile) from Vizag, displays by Indian Air force would be the special attractions of this exhibition”.

The Prakruti – Sanskriti (Nature-Culture) exhibition at Seva Utsava 2018 is being organised by schools that participated in the internship and expert organisations in this field to showcase how nature and science are interlinked”.
