Bengaluru: Amid the growing concerns on rising Omicron cases, the State Government in its order on Thursday December 30 has stated that prohibitory order within the limits of Bengaluru City Commissionerate shall be in effect albeit with revised timings.

The order states, “the prohibitory order within the limits of Bengaluru City Commissionerate shall remain with revised timings, that is, from 6.00 pm on December 31 to 5.00 am on January 1, 2022.”

The gathering of five or more persons in public places for the New Year celebrations is prohibited in the City. However, order states that the in-house celebrations in residential complexes and private clubs may be held for its members without organising any special events.

Further the order added, “Hotels, Malls, Restaurants, Clubs or any similar establishment shall not organise any special events or shows in the City. However, they may carry out their regular business activities following Covid-19 protocols.”
