Ramanagara: The BJP Government in the State has finally initiated disciplinary action against an official for allegedly violating protocol in the case of Former Chief Minister and MLA H. D. Kumaraswamy during the bhoomipujan programme organised by the Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Corporation (KRIDL) in Channapattana Assembly constituency.

V. Sridhar, Executive Engineer of Ramanagara Division, has been suspended from service for violating protocol in the case of Former Chief Minister. In an order issued, the Corporation Managing Director M. J. Hiremath has reserved an inquiry into the matter and suspended Sridhar with immediate effect.

On October 1, 2022, the bhoomipujan was performed for various works undertaken by the Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Corporation without informing H. D. Kumaraswamy and inviting him to the event. Also, MLC C. P. Yogeshwar, had set out to perform puja with the protection of thousands of policemen for works with the support of officials.
