Ramanagara: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Avinash Menon Rajendran has directed the officials concerned to take steps to solve the problems of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by providing all possible cooperation including necessary staff on behalf of the concerned departments.
Presiding over a meeting of the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee on the implementation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office auditorium here, he said that the process of allotting land for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes’ burial grounds is underway. Land will be given wherever available and purchased wherever it is not. The graveyard land already available will be developed, he informed.
“Only when a decision is taken at the Government level to regularise the land, action can be taken locally. He urged to wait until one’s turn.
