Ramanagara: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Chief and Senior Scientist Lata. R .Kulkarni has urged women to become skilled in agricultural livelihood activities and lead a life of financial self-sufficiency.
She was speaking after distributing certificates to the beneficiaries at the valedictory function of skill development training for women held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra in the Taluk. In order to facilitate the spread of various types of services in agriculture activities, 30 Krishi Sakhis are selected at a ratio ofone per gram panchayat and they have been given a six-day skill development training on environment and farming methods by Sanjeevini State Rural Livelihoods Promotion Institute and Agriculture University at Chandurayanahalli Krishi Vigyan Kendra in the Taluk.
Magadi Range Forest Officer Manjunath distributed certificates to the sakhis who were trained in skill development.
