Bengaluru: Actress Divya Spandana aka Ramya, who has been facing a backlash from film fans for not attending the funeral procession of actor-turned-politician M H Ambareesh and for not arriving in Bengaluru or Mandya to pay homage to the departed leader, has issued a clarification.
Ramya, who is also the head of AICC’s social media team, informed the state Congress leaders that she was unable to fly to Mandya or Bengaluru due to severe injuries on her lower limbs.
Speaking to the media, Major Irrigation Minister D K Shivakumar informed that Ramya had spoken to all the senior Congress leaders about her injury. “She wanted to come down but she was not in a position to travel. The fans must understand,” informed DKS.
Meanwhile, Ambi’s fans are upset with Ramya and have flooded social media with messages attacking her for not paying homage to her now-deceased mentor.
