Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the State Government is all set to conduct the civic body polls following the Supreme Court order.
The Supreme Court has stated on Friday May 20 that necessary notifications regarding delimitation of wards and determining reservation percentage for the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) must be notified within eight weeks. The court also noted that the delimitation of wards is in the final stage and that the government will issue notification soon.
The court also said that the State Government has urged permission to issue notification regarding delimitation within eight weeks.
