gj reddyBengaluru: Hours after a city sessions court granted bail to former minister and mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy in the Ambident scam, three Assistant Commissioners of Police of the CCB, who were part of the investigating team, have been transferred out. This sudden development has led to a discussion within the police department.

According to the sources in the state Home Department, CCB ACPs PT Subramanya, MH Manjunath Chowdari, and Mariyappa have been transferred. They have been replaced by B Balaraju, Shobha Katavtkar, and BR Venugopal.

“These transfers are done as per the request made by the CCB senior officers. All these three outgoing ACPs were part of the Reddy investigation. Manjunath Chowdari raided Reddy’s residence in Ballari, while the other two carried search out operations for Reddy in Hyderabad,” added sources.
