The police sought their custody, highlighting the need for further inquiry related to the case. However, after hearing arguments from both sides, the judge extended the custody of Darshan and a few other accused for two more days. Meanwhile, Pavithra Gowda and several others were sent to judicial custody.

The accused, including Darshan, Pavithra, and others, had been in police custody for the last 10 days. During this time, the police conducted spot investigations, recorded their statements, and gathered evidence.

The police submitted a remand application to the court seeking further police custody of Darshan, Pradosh, Nagaraj, Dhanraj, Laxman, and Vinay. For the remaining accused, including Pavithra Gowda, Nandish, Jagadish, Anukumar, Raghavendra, Pavan, Ravishankar, Deepak, Keshavmurthy, and Nikhil Naik, the police did not object to judicial custody, and thus they were sent to judicial custody.
