Bengaluru police have registered an FIR against a restaurant manager on MG Road for allegedly sexually harassing a 22-year-old woman.

Incident after lunch outing

According to police, the woman, who works at a private company, had visited the restaurant with friends for lunch on Monday afternoon.

As the group was leaving around 3 pm, the manager, identified as Ravi, allegedly picked an argument with her.

Allegations of abuse and assault

The FIR states that the accused used obscene language, threatened the woman with rape and physically assaulted her, causing injury to her hand.

Following the incident, the woman approached the police and lodged a complaint.

CCTV footage allegedly deleted

Police said the restaurant management allegedly deleted CCTV footage related to the incident, raising concerns about possible evidence tampering.

Investigation under way

A case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing to establish the full sequence of events.

Authorities are expected to examine available evidence and question those involved.
