Bengaluru: The police have arrested one person on Friday for carrying unaccounted money in a Volkswagen vehicle.
The police have identified the arrested person as Siddarth, an advocate from Dharwad and seized Rs 2.50 crore from him. According to the police, Siddarth entered Vidhana Soudha premises through the west gate at 2.30 pm. The police found the cash in three boxes while checking the vehicle.
According to reliable sources, Siddarth was carrying the cash to allegedly handover to a minister. The police have registered a case and are investing.
Sandeep Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central division) and Yogesh, Deputy Commissioner (Vidhana Soudha Security) visited the spot.
