Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announces Rs. 5 lakh exgratia to kin of those who died in road accident near Dharawad on Saturday May 22.

Bommai said that he announced the relief after Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines and Coal Pralhad Joshi made a request to compensate the family members of the victims of the accident.

As many as nine people were killed and two were critically injured after a cruiser car hit a tree at Nigadi Village near Dharawad on the late night of Friday May 20. The people in the vehicle were on the way to an engagement ceremony at Mansur from Benkatti when the driver lost control and hit a tree.
