Bengaluru: Opposition Leader and Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday April 21 alleged that the BJP Government in the State has betrayed SC/STs by diverting Rs. 7,885 Crore fund meant for Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP), for the infrastructure projects.

In a statement Siddaramaiah informed that Rs. 26,695.64 crore was allocated for the year 2021-22 for welfare of SCs and STs under SCP-TSP Act. By diverting Rs. 7,885 Crores for the infrastructure development, the government has violated the provisions of the Act, he alleged.

Further stating that it is against the law, be urged Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to take action against those who violated the provisions.
