Bengaluru: Police arrested Bengaluru district head of Popular Front of India, Azim Sheriff on Wednesday in connection with the murder of RSS activist Rudresh.
According to police sources, Azim is allegedly associated with Irfan Pasha who was earlier arrested in connection with the case. It is gathered that, some suspects arrested earlier in the case allegedly told the police during interrogation that they did the heinous crime based on instructions from Azim.
However, police have told that the level of involvement of Azim can be confirmed only after his interrogation.
It may be recalled, Rudresh was hacked to death by two bike-borne men on October 16 at Shivajinagar. City police arrested the accused Mohammed Sadiq, Mohammed Mazar, Mohammed Mujibullah, Waseem Ahmed and Irfan Pasha after ten days.
