Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led delegation called on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday and submitted a memorandum for the early release of Rs 4,072 crore compensation to take up drought relief measures in the State.
The delegation also submitted another memorandum to increase the labour budget under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act from the present 6.07 crore to 10 crore man days.

Nada Gowda (Appaji), the Chief Secretary to the State Government Dr Subhash Chandra Khuntaia, the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Tushar Girinath, the Resident Commissioner of the Karnataka Bhavan Atul Kumar Tiwari were the members of the delegation, who called on the Prime Minister at his office in South Block.
